Work location: Texas Health Heart & Vascular Specialist #18772 1400 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022

Work hours: Full Time Days (8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday) for 40 hrs/week

Here’s What You Need

Education

·         H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

·         Associate’s Degree (Preferred)

Experience

·         One year of experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

·         ARDMS – American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers or RDCS (Required) Or

·         RCS – Registered Cardiac Sonographer (Required)

 

What You Will Do

·         Produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart. Calibrate and maintain equipment and orders supplies when needed.

·         Calculate, measure, and document appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.

·         Explain procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. May perform therapeutic procedures.

·         Enter patient information into computer database to record information on video cassette and strip printout of test.

·         Review test results with interpreting physician.

·         Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram.
